Me Just Ramblin...

Today was a pretty normal day, nothing too exciting, just went to the parents' and relaxed...made some vacation plans, and well also made some plans that will affect my future. Quite honestly I just relaxed with my sister and hung out causin some trouble at the dinner table and filling up on some ribs that way we had an excuse to sit there and cause some more lol. Believe me, I think i'll be stuffed for a few days ;)

Granted today is 9-11 which the world will always remember obviously for what it was, and don't get me wrong, it was def a tragic day...but I don't try to dwell on it for what it was, but more on what it did. I watched the movie made "The flight that fought back", and it was def interesting to see what peices they believed went together to at least hopefully put those families involved, hearts a little more at ease. Knowing me, I prob would've done the same thing without any regrets, in fact I know I would.

Its funny, I never flew before 9-11 so I can't say what security and what life flying was before...but as many of you know I def do it now. The story interested me because it was the flight that left from Newark (ewr) and there where 2 women from Bayonne on it. I sat there, my sister by my side, and my friend on the phone just watching baffeled at the situation that took place. They said at the end of the movie that security has risen, and on honestly on some days it does, and others it doesnt. I fly from newark mainly because its the closest, I know my way around and its easier for others if i need to get dropped off or picked up. Some days im checked more...others im not. In fact, not just newark, but on my way home from Vegas I believe it was, they said all shoes must be removed except sneakers can be kept on. Wasn't that the way after 9-11 that one guy was caught?? Somehow that will never make sense.

But what else I did pick apart from the movie was how often and how possible it was for pretty much everyone to call someone if they wanted to. That in the end, you had the chance to say goodbye no matter how positive you tried to stay. When I get to the airport, after my check in, before I board, and even before we take off im sending calls and text messages to everyone. If i know someone I care about is flying I want to know they took off and landed ok because you never know honestly from one day to the next whats gonna happen. I take a trip every few months, now the flights are more frequent because its getting to be too much to drive...but realistically I still feel safer in a plane then I do a car.

I talked about it with a friend of mine once I landed in CA during a trip I took early this year. She thought something was going to happen, didnt know what but she had an uneasy feeling...what she didnt know was that I had the same feeling. I prayed about it before I got on the plane, and pretty much just focused on having a good flight. She never told me anything until she got my call that I was ok. Something did happen though not to me, but an eldery lady wound up passing out, and they thought we where going to have to make an emergency landing. I woke up to find all this going on...but its true...when something out of the ordinairy happens on a plane, you always remember.

I always make friends with the people I sit near as well, its pretty funny actually. I love it though because I always meet the most interesting people. In fact on that same flight, I met someone I actually thought I could see myself with lol...apparently he saw it to lmao cause he kept dropping hints left and right. He was def a good guy, and someone I had a lot in common with...but of course, east coast girl meets west coast guy...I wouldve given it a few months lol. He wanted to hang out when I was in CA cause it turned out he didnt live far from where I was going to be...but I said my farewell and told him to marry his girlfriend LOL. No need for temptation to mess that up. I'm very respectful of relationships :)

So yea, I really have NO idea how in the world I made it to this point...but needless to say, I will never stop flying because I know that I will not let fear run my life especially when it comes to traveling, because trips are the best times of my life hands down. So enjoy the pic above of me and my sis acting like dorks, and I'll be going now on my merry way...

Peace Out Kids ;)
